Drowning in love

She rises from the sea, wet and full of lust.

She dreams of him. He sits alone on the beach,

perfect midnight blue hair, pale, pale skin,

strikingly bright golden eyes, captivating her

even at this distance. She stays in the water,

the sea making love to her, teasing her,

tempting her, caressing her. She dreams of his touch.

She imagines covering him in her

celestial violette lip gloss, bathing him in kisses.

She wants to be like the pretty girls. Her long

hair, flowing like a pink maddening river.

He’d get lost and tangled in it. Drown forever.

Her dresses, made of shells and crystal,

stitched with the most exotic vines, will never peel off

her as easily as the simple dresses and jeans of the other girls.

She’s not afraid to love him.

They’ll all sleep with him, but that’s it.

She’ll make erotic love to him,

for hours,

and love him more than the act.

The boy watches the sea,

ignoring the girls that are suddenly surrounding him.

He’s watching that enchanting sea girl

as she swims back into the depths of the water,

leaving a trail of glitter behind her.

He wishes he could be the sea,

so she could be in love with him too.

I'le go to my love where he lies in the deep,

And in my embraces my dearest shall sleep:

When we awake, the kind dolphins together shall throng,

And in chariots of shells draw us along.

The orient pearls, which the ocean bestowes,

With coral we'll mix, and a crown soe compose;

The sea-nymphs shall sigh, and envy our bliss,

We will teach them to love, and their cockles to kiss.

For my love sleeps now in a wat'ry grave,

He hath nothing to shew for his tombe but a wave:

I'le kiss his cold lips, not the corall more red,

That growes where he lies in his wat'ry bed.

Ah! ah! my love's dead; there was not a bell,

But a trition's shell,

To ring, to ring out his knell.

I sat watching for you

To come over the starlit horizon.

I contented myself listening to a buoy marker,

The sea forever running up to kiss and caress the shore,

A few gulls looking out for a meal.

I’ve sat on beaches like this one the world over

I’ve heard thunder echo off the wave tops

And watched as lightening illuminated

The gray seas for miles around.

I’ve seen the storm surge rush the shore

And crash against houses built too close

And in the midst of the storms rage

I hear your voice,

As if the thunder stirred you from your deep sleep.

Why do I only hear your voice in storms

And never when the seas are calm.

ALLA MARI

Alla mare mi portati se voleti i mici sonati

Alla mare alla mia cosa mi ama la donna mia

Alla mare alla mare mintre compo cogio a mare

To the sea to the sea let me follow

To save me from burning and heal my sorrow

Taking the way of sand and water

The tide is the last way to love my Mother

Alla mare alla mare mintre compo cogio a mare

Down the dunes with sister and stranger

The wicked women who dance in their danger

Craving the blessing all together

Of grass and sea with shell and feather

Alla mare alla mare mintre compo cogio a mare

So in love does my Lady enjoy me

That death by drowning shall not destroy me

Life on the tide will run before me

The long wave, the grey wave shall be my story

I am She
Of the spiral castle by the silver sea
I am the last of my race
I am without beginning and without ending
I am beyond sound and sight
I cannot be touched
I am She who dwells behind the veil of matter
They ask if I exist
And I answer that I do
On the shores of the Sea of Time you will find me
My head turned to the wind
Walking by the waves of the eons and waiting
For your coming and your going
In truth I was
I am and I will be
When all else has faded from your memory
I am something which you possess
And something which you seek
I am the question that is also the answer
I am that which binds and that which sets free
I am the beginning of things
I am the ending
Seek me and know me
I am She
